Max Planck Institute for Biology
We are studying fundamental aspects of modern biology. At the MPI for Biology we are conducting basic research on the development and evolution of animals and plants at different organisational levels – from molecules on to the whole organism and up to distinct species. We make use of approaches that range from biochemistry, cell and developmental biology to evolutionary and ecological genetics, functional genomics and computational biology. Cutting-edge technology available at the institute is enabling scientists to gain increasing insight into cellular and developmental processes. More details
